Things you may not know about us...
- Emily was a DJ for her college's radio station with her best friend, Kristi. The name of their show? "The Eclectic Slide."
- Marc sang in a boy's choir in junior high school. As Dan and Gina know, he can still perform a mean "Take On Me."
- Emily's first job was a zoo keeper in a children's zoo at outside of Chicago. Glamorous it was not, but oh the stories & let 's just say she takes good care of our cat's litterbox.
- Marc and Emily both had jobs in transportation through college. How appropriate that they met in the Motor City. While Marc drove busses at the University of Michigan, Emily managed Augustana College's student transportation service.
- Emily takes after her dad in many ways: a lead foot and appreciation for horsepower being just a couple of them. Her best friend, Angela (who is also a speed queen) has dubbed her "Cabbie."
- Despite eyes that were once crossed and now are shielded by some serious frames, Marc is a private pilot. He's even made trips to Mackinac Island to camp with Maria, Carrie and Paul. Everything is beautiful from that far up!
- Inspired by his dad, Marc ran his first marathon in 2005. He completed the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon in 4:06 and working toward a faster time this year. (He'll be running 12 miles the day of our wedding with his dad and sister as part of his training!)
- Emily's dream job is to be a reporter for Rolling Stone magazine. In the meantime, she spends time as a freelance journalist for Forward Magazine, a publication for high school students in Illinois. www.forwardillinois.com
